Publication Etnics

Jurnal Manajemen dan Inovasi Pembelajaran publishes research articles, program applications written by experts, scientists, practitioners, and reviewers in educational disciplines which has never been published before. This statement of the scientific code of ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties participating in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely administrators, editors, reviewers, and authors. The declaration of the ethical code of scientific publications is based on LIPI head regulation No. 5 of 2014 on the Code of Ethics of Scientific Publications.

A. Publication and authorship 

  1. All submitted papers are subject to a rigorous peer-review process by at least two National Reviewers who are experts in the paper's particular field.
  2. The review process is a blind peer review.
  3. The factors taken into account in the review are relevance, novelty, significance, originality and language.
  4. Decisions can be acceptance with revisions, or resistance.
  5. If the author is asked to revise and resubmit the article, there is no guarantee that the revised article will be accepted.
  6. Rejected articles will not be reviewed.
  7. Acceptance of papers is restricted by legal requirements that then apply regarding infringement of goodwill, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
  8. No research can be included in more than one publication.

B. Editor's responsibility 

  1. Editors has full responsibility and authority to reject/accept articles.
  2. Editors is responsible for the overall content and quality of the publication.
  3. Editors should always consider the needs of authors and readers when trying to improve publications.
  4. Editors must guarantee the quality of papers and academic integrity.
  5. Editors must publish an errata page or make corrections if necessary.
  6. Editors must have a clear description of the sources of research funding.
  7. Editors should base their decisions solely on the paper's importance, origin, clarity, and relevance to the scope of publication.
  8. Editors may not rescind their decisions or overturn previous decisions of editors without serious reasons.
  9. Editors must maintain the anonymity of the reviewer.
  10. Editors must ensure that all published research materials comply with internationally accepted ethical guidelines.
  11. Editors may only accept papers if they are reasonably sure.
  12. Editors must act if they suspect infringement, whether a paper is published or unpublished, and make all reasonable efforts to keep the matter resolved.
  13. Editors may not reject papers based on accusations; they must have evidence of wrongdoing.
  14. Editors must not condone conflicts of interest between staff, authors, reviewers, and board members.

C. Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers

  1. Provide impartial and unbiased written feedback on the importance of science and the manuscript's contribution to the advancement of science.
  2. Indicate whether the screenwriting is clear, complete, and relevant, as well as whether the paper is relevant to the scope of the journal.
  3. Personal criticism or comments should not be made.
  4. Maintain the manuscript's confidentially by not discussing it with unrelated individuals or releasing the material included in the text to others.

D. Duties and Responsibilities of the Author

  1. Ascertain that those included in the list of authors have met the criteria for authorship.
  2. Being collaboratively responsible for the work and content of the paper includes methodologies, analysis, computations, and details.
  3. Identifying the source of resources (including finance), either directly or indirectly.
  4. Explicitly stating the research's shortcomings.
  5. Respond to comments from reviewers and editorial boards/editors in a scientific and timely manner.
  6. Avoid superfluous and unrelated discussions with the editor about enhancing the quality of the work.
  7. Make a statement that the written material submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere or in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
  8. Submit a manuscript that was written following the author's instructions.
