The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with three eleventh-grade students representing high, medium, and low self-efficacy categories as subjects. Questionnaires, tests of problem-solving ability, and in-depth interviews were used to gather data. Students who scored higher on the self-efficacy measure were more likely to systematically complete each of the four steps of problem-solving: identifying the issue, developing a plan of action, carrying out the plan, and finally, evaluating the outcomes. Even though they were less confident and accurate, students with medium self-efficacy nonetheless proceeded through all the steps. Students who lacked confidence in their abilities could only complete one level and often struggled to find solutions to issues. These results show that students' mathematical problem-solving skills are significantly impacted by their degree of self-efficacy. Thus, it is essential that mathematics learning methodologies prioritise the cultivation of self-efficacy, particularly when dealing with intricate topics like matrices.
2025-08-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Wardatul Laili, Ucik Fitri Handayani https://kilaupublishing.com/index.php/jap/article/view/237 Perbandingan Kepekaan Tempo Peserta Didik Perdesaan dan Perkotaan melalui Body Percussion 2025-08-07T20:40:39+07:00 Rizal Ridwan Suhendar suhendrrizalridwan@upi.edu Resa Respati resarespati@upi.edu Aini Loita ainiloita@upi.edu
This study aims to analyze differences in tempo sensitivity among elementary school students in rural and urban areas using the Carl Orff approach through body percussion techniques. Tempo sensitivity is a vital component in music education that supports the development of motor coordination, concentration, and structured thinking. The research employed a comparative experimental method without a control group, involving 44 fifth-grade students from both rural and urban settings. Data were collected using musical skill tests and analyzed through normality and Mann-Whitney tests. The results indicate a significant difference between the rural and urban student groups (significance value 0.009 < 0.05), suggesting that socio-cultural environments influence the development of tempo sensitivity. Urban students demonstrated higher tempo awareness, possibly due to greater exposure to music and popular culture, while rural students faced limitations in musical resources and expressive freedom. These findings highlight the importance of culturally responsive pedagogical approaches in elementary music education.
2025-08-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Rizal Ridwan Suhendar, Resa Respati, Aini Loita https://kilaupublishing.com/index.php/jap/article/view/240 Analisis Penerapan Karakter Disiplin Dan Tanggung Jawab Dalam Pembelajaran IPS Siswa Di MTs Nur Rahma Kota Bengkulu 2025-08-07T20:52:40+07:00 Bela Ardila ardilabella227@gmail.com Saepudin saepudin@mail.uinfasbengkulu.ac.id M. Discipline and responsibility are two main components in character education that need to be instilled from an early age to shape students' strong and integrated personalities. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of two Social Studies teachers and 10 students at MTs Nur Rahma, Bengkulu City. The results show that Social Studies learning at MTs Nur Rahma is designed not only to achieve cognitive goals, but also to shape discipline and responsibility. Teachers foster these two characters through habituation, role models, and assignments that require active involvement and consistency from students. Obstacles faced include low student awareness, lack of parental support, and the influence of a less conducive environment and social media. Supporting factors include the support of the principal, a structured school habituation program, and teacher commitment. It is recommended that there be collaboration between schools, teachers, parents, and the community to create a supportive educational ecosystem, so that the values of discipline and responsibility are firmly embedded in schools and carried over into students' daily lives.
2025-08-10T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Bela Ardila, Saepudin, M. The background of the study is based on the importance of literature as a reflection of social reality as well as an educational medium. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a content analysis method, with objects in the form of relevant narrative excerpts and dialogues. Character analysis refers to M.H. Abrams' theory, while character education values refer to Thomas Lickona's theory. The results show that the author has succeeded in building character consistently, including dynamic characters (Ravendra, Kiara), static characters (Mama Elis, Syelin, Ken), and antagonists (Alena, Keisya). This novel also contains three dimensions of Lickona's character education, namely moral knowledge, moral feelings, and moral actions, which are reflected in the character's behavior such as empathy, responsibility, and integrity. Based on these findings, the novel Ravendra is suitable for use as a literary literacy teaching material in schools to instill character values in students. The recommendation of this study is the need for further studies on other Indonesian youth literature to enrich contextual character learning resources.
2025-08-12T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Vevi Agustin, Kasmantoni, Dina Putri Juni Astuti https://kilaupublishing.com/index.php/jap/article/view/243 Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Concept Sentence (Cs) Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Menulis Karya Fiksi Pada Siswa Kelas VIII SMP N 21 Kota Bengkulu 2025-08-13T08:33:37+07:00 Natiara Oktavi natiaraoktavia88@gmail.com Adisel natiaraoktavia88@gmail.com Welti Wediasti welti@mail.uinfasbengkulu.ac.id
Application of the Concept Sentence (CS) Learning Model to Improve Fiction Writing Skills Among Grade VIII Students at SMP N 21 in Bengkulu City.
