In the global context facing an environmental crisis, this concept offers a more sustainable approach by prioritizing efficient resource use, material recovery, and waste reduction. This article examines the philosophy of the circular economy as an ethical reflection that balances economic growth with ecological wisdom. Through an in-depth literature review, the article highlights the evolution of the circular economy concept, the challenges of its implementation, and the social and ethical dimensions that must be considered to achieve the goals of the circular economy in a just and inclusive manner. The philosophy behind the circular economy invites us to reflect on the linear economic growth paradigm that has dominated the global production and consumption system, which in reality often contributes to severe environmental degradation. This research reveals that while the circular economy offers great potential for achieving efficiency and sustainability, its implementation requires serious attention to aspects of ethics, social justice, and intergenerational responsibility. In this context, this article aims to delve deeper into how circular economy principles can be integrated with ecological policies that respect planetary limitations and human well-being, and to provide guidance for the development of more sustainable and equitable policies in the future.
2025-11-20T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Misdawita, Hasnah Faizah https://kilaupublishing.com/index.php/jap/article/view/261 Peran dan Strategi SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang dalam Penguatan Kompetensi Siswa Berprestasi Unggul 2025-09-24T09:17:36+07:00 Rahmi Juwita rahmi.juwita@unm.ac.id Piki Sentri Pernantah piki@lecturer.unri.ac.id
This study aims to analyze the role and strategies of SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang in strengthening student competencies in both academic and non-academic domains. A qualitative approach with ethnographic methods was employed. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation at SMA Plus Al-Falah Al-Makky. The results reveal that the Shibori batik process contains geometric elements such as plane figures, reflective symmetry, rotational symmetry, and geometric transformations. Students were able to understand these concepts contextually through hands-on experience in batik-making. In addition to enhancing their understanding of geometry, this activity also fostered appreciation for local culture. These findings support the importance of culture-based mathematics instruction as a meaningful contextual learning approach. This study also opens opportunities for further research to explore other forms of local cultural practices that contain mathematical elements and have the potential to be used as contextual learning media. The development of ethnomathematics-based instructional models at various educational levels, as well as evaluating their effectiveness in improving students’ learning outcomes, becomes an important recommendation for future studies.
2025-12-02T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Nur Zahrotul Wakhidah, Annafi Awantagusnik https://kilaupublishing.com/index.php/jap/article/view/273 Internalization of Character and Critical Thinking in Elementary School Students through Traditional Games 2025-11-17T11:39:48+07:00 Susanto susanto.susan@gmail.com
Instilling character values and critical thinking skills in elementary school students is an important focus in 21st century learning. One contextual approach that can be utilized is through traditional games, which are rich in educational, collaborative, and social elements. This study aims to review various literature discussing the role of traditional games in internalizing character values and developing critical thinking skills in elementary school students. The method used is a systematic literature review of relevant national and international articles over the past ten years. The results of the study indicate that traditional games positively contribute to the formation of values such as honesty, responsibility, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Additionally, activities within games that involve decision-making, problem-solving, and team strategies can stimulate critical thinking skills in children from an early age. This study recommends integrating traditional games into the elementary school curriculum as an effective culture-based learning tool for simultaneously shaping students' character and cognitive abilities.
2025-11-29T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Susanto https://kilaupublishing.com/index.php/jap/article/view/262 Stimulasi Kognitif Melalui Media Permainan Manipulatif Pada Anak Usia Dini 2025-10-02T10:05:26+07:00 Hikrawati hikrawati@umpalopo.ac.id Rahmatia rahmatia@umpalopo.ac.id Nurul Asqia nurulasqia@iainpare.ac.id
The purpose of this study was to determine how cognitive stimulation through the use of manipulative play media in early childhood.
